Came across this post on the Fool, referencing a NYT article about the abuses going on in the human organ trade. The most disturbing case is about a guy who is awake and aware of his surroundings, being wheeled into the OR to be cut up into spare parts. The surgeon refused to cut him up. The organ seller ordered another surgeon be found to cut him up.
fwiw, I have been seeing a new series of TV ads recently, trying to shame people into being organ donors.
