" Why do you think he handled it [the transition] poorly?
The Oracle of Omaha, the Greatest Investor of All Time, the GOAT, he announces he’s stepping down and the stock is only down 8% from an overvalued all time high?
How many here thought we’d get a great buying opportunity when he stepped down?
Mr Buffett himself said that a while back.
Regarding your cap gains problem, is your tax situation such that cap gains are taxed at higher rates than dividends? For most of us it tends to be the other way around, one reason why many Berkshire shareholders don’t want a dividend."
Buffett was very lucky to reach 90, I wouldn't say he worked very hard at longevity behavior, right?
At 90 he should have passed the torch, living to 96 was an extra blessing. I live in a 55 and over community and I still play most sports we played as kids. Trust me bud, many friends who took great care of themselves didn't make 70, forget 96. Buffett won many lotteries, hopefully he will see 100 in good health as well.
Again, I would love to see brkb at 525ish at year end, that's up 5 %, it's a tall ask, good luck to us partners.
