Yeah, I saw the point. I just don't see how it works that way. How a nuclear strike gives him any cover to cancel or ignore the elections, any more than he has any cover to cancel or ignore the elections today. No one's going to let him do that, and they're not any more likely to let him do that if he launches a unilateral nuclear strike. All it would do is guarantee that he would lose the elections and that he would lose so much more support that he would have even less power to cancel or ignore the elections than he has today.
