Watching the news coverage of the devastation and overtaxed hospitals.

The US military is really good at disaster relief. They can fly in MREs and potable water, in large quantity. Injured can be flown out to the ships for surgery.

I can hear the Venezuelans chanting "viva Americanos".

Then, about six months from now, they look around, and discover the US military isn't leaving. They are setting up shop for long term military occupation of the country.
