I programmed today a routine to make all posts scrambled in your browser before they are sent (you may see the text briefly flashing white whilst that happens as as you click 'Send' or 'Preview'), and then unscrambled on arrival, so the firewall has nothing to read. I also contacted the Firewall provider to ask it to be turned off, as it is acting naively given that the pages are only viewed and not executed.
Together all should be solved.
Nice work! The retired programmer in me is curious how you scramble the content to escape the filtering.
And why the hell is the firewall provider doing this anyway? I guess that question means I don't really know what a firewall provider is responsible for doing. I see firewalls as protecting a naive content consumer - like me - from attacks from malicious links or covert code insertion from bad actor servers. But for someone in control of the content like you are, this seems like an annoying imposition.
Also, why did this suddenly start happening.
And why is it barfing on what is clearly just plain text - as in really plain /[A-Za-z]*/ text?
And why did it (seem to?) depend on what board I was posting on?
