I believe Kennedy did exactly that for Cubans. Instant citizenship. No poor struggling immigrant sob stories necessary. (Of course they weren't poor anyway.) Just hit the beach and you're in. Excellent point. But you don't know for sure there has been no vetting. The larger point is they are from a First World country (for the time being anyway) and would probably be deemed to need less vetting. Not at all surprising. Besides, what were there, like 60?
