But, sure, Joe stepped in it in his rather inarticulate way, which is one of the reasons he's not at the top of the ticket.
However Joe or Harris try to walk this back, it is EXTREMELY damaging to have the idea that Trump's supporters are garbage in the news cycle with only 6 days to go before the election. It's already a new MAGA rallying cry for crepe's sake.
I hope to god that this doesn't end up like Hillary's "deplorables" comment, which was much less of a broad stroke dissing of all of Trump's supporters, and yet probably also contributed to her loss.
In the name of all things holy, please, Joe, just muzzle it until Nov 6. We don't need your patented "gaffe machine" mucking this up for the rest of us!
