The sole thread of continuity in all of Trump's legal strategies regarding all of these cases focuses on DELAYING them to the point where they are still pending if he manages to pull off an election win, at which point he waits from November to January 20, 2025 then instructs the prosecutions to be terminated and fires anyone who attempts to ignore him.

And it's this prospect that has me wondering about the times I am living in. Old people always say the world is going to hell, but now that I am old - why does the USA look like it's going to hell? If this occurs will we ever get back to a "normal"? I've got a feeling "normal" is an aberration from here on out.

Even if Trump is defeated, Trumpism is here to stay, it isn't going away. But if he's elected I expect borders to be periodically shut down, secrets to be sold, grift at the Presidential level, NATO weakened or we with draw, tariffs out the kazoo, in short - we will shoot ourselves in the foot and become untrusted - suspect with our allies. Every time Trump has a problem he will create an international flap to cover and we lose in the end. Just how mush will we lose with Trump.
