More distraction from Trump’s cognitive decline and his utter incompetence.

Let’s go a step further.
I’ll agree that covering up President Biden’s decline is not good. But it eventually came out and influential members of his party convinced him to drop out of the race.
But Trump’s mental decline isn’t being hidden. It’s out in the open for all to see. Just like Biden, Trump can’t string together cogent thoughts. He only has a handful of topics that he keeps going back to.
So why didn’t Republican leadership talk to Trump to convince him to drop out of the race? Why isn’t Republican leadership talking to Trump now to try to convince him to resign?
Instead of doing the right thing, Republican leadership is trying to convince the electorate that what they see with their own eyes is not a mental decline, but a brilliance beyond the ordinary person’s comprehension. They are covering up for Trump just as Biden’s team covered up for him. Where is the outrage over the Trump coverup?

There is no cover up of Trump's mental state. Though is it really a decline? He always sound BSC to me.

" There is no cover up of Trump's mental state."
Bingo, you get it. From someone very close, trump has lost a step or two, but he won. Trump does Q and As all the time, he doesn't hide and avoid the press. He like Musk, over promises and under delivers, that will never change. IF his decline accelerates the next 12-24 months let's see what the gop does?

Because they CAN'T.
Spankee is all "ME !! ME !! ME !! ME !! MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!!" all the time, and the Magats won't settle for a different "bread and circuses"--because Spankee is ALL CIRCUS, ALL THE TIME. Magats want THAT, 24/7 forever. Real world? ROFLMAO !!! To them, the Spankee circus IS the real world--and they won't go anywhere else. Drug addicts all. When they crash, it will be REALLY ugly.

Comical, the attempted pivot towards Trump is. Especially coming from the people who shouted the loudest about Biden being fit for office this entire time when it was obvious back in 2020 that he wasn't.
Yes, this was worse than Watergate. It was right up there with Edith Wilson running the country for Woodrow post his stroke. In this instance Hunter Biden (per the book) and a few other unelected aides were the ones actually calling the shots.
They lied and the media/democrat complex went along with it. The dupes and fools here who went and denied the obvious don't get to suddenly start claiming this or that about Trump.

Statisticians who measure such things note that the active vocabulary of words that he uses is shrinking.
That’s one metric. There are others. But for the data driven observor, that one is key.

I still haven't seen anyone ask conman Tapper the obvious question. IF Harris won, would you have published the book?

There is no cover up of Trump's mental state.
Perhaps a poor choice of words on my part. But the sanewashing of Trump that we see in some media and particularly on internet discussion boards such as this one is a form of coverup, IMHO.
But most importantly, it is functionally no different than any cover up of Biden’s decline. Both are bad but only one has stopped.

Then stop making outlandish claims about what Trump is up to.

Jake Tapper DID NOT SAY that Hunter was “calling the shots” in the White House.
He DID SAY that Hunter Biden had a great deal of influence in the Biden family, and thus indirectly may have influenced Joe Biden’s decisions.
Small difference, but still significant.
We all have advisors- family, mentors, co-workers. But in the end, it is our decision to follow or not follow their advice.
But the claim that Hunter was calling the shots in the White House is ridiculous.
