...with the support of Australia, Bahrain, Canada and the Netherlands against a dozen Houthi militant targets in Yemen.

"These targeted strikes are a clear message that the United States and our partners will not tolerate attacks on our personnel or allow hostile actors to imperil freedom of navigation in one of the world's most critical commercial routes," Biden said. "I will not hesitate to direct further measures to protect our people and the free flow of international commerce as necessary."

The defense official told NPR the strikes were carried out using surface ships and submarines as well as Navy ship-based warplanes and Air Force attack aircraft, in addition to British aircraft. The targets include radar sites, drone launchers and drone storage sites — chosen in an effort to "degrade" the Houthis' ability to attack shipping.

Before you whine "What took so long?" the answer is obvious and has been pointed out: planning and coordinating a multinational strike with precise targeting, multinational target packages, suppression of enemy air defense, airspace coordination, and gaining the approval of several governments takes time.

Do the people being bombed.......if they had nothing to do with the actions of a few....

Do they have the right to fly planes into buildings in Austin or San Fran ?

(Re 9-11, Liberals said - yes, some are justified )

My opinion: Not sure if it's lawful to say it......so punt.

Here's the odd one:

Iran denies responsibility for drone attack against tanker near India

Tehran decries the US accusation of involvement in maritime incident as ‘worthless,’ says it’s an attempt to distract people from ‘the crimes of the Zionist regime’

On Saturday night, a Japanese-owned chemical tanker, identified as MV Chem Pluto, was attacked off the coast of India by what the US Pentagon said was a “one-way attack drone fired from Iran.”

The drone attack on the Japanese tanker struck its stern and caused a fire onboard, maritime private security firm Ambrey said, adding that there were no casualties among the crew, though the vessel suffered some structural damage and some water was taken onboard.

The Pentagon statement said the Chem Pluto flew under a Liberian flag and was operated by a Dutch entity. Ambrey had earlier said it was “linked” to Israel and had been on its way from Saudi Arabia to India. The ostensible link was not made clear.

...[T]he attack occurred 200 nautical miles (370 kilometers) off the coast of India, near Veraval...
