WASHINGTON ' Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) today released an unclassified FBI-generated record describing an alleged criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden and a Ukrainian business executive. Grassley acquired the record, an FD-1023, via legally protected disclosures by Justice Department whistleblowers.

Drip.
Drip.
Drip.

According to the FBI's confidential human source, executives for Burisma, a Ukrainian gas company, brought Hunter Biden on the board to 'protect us through his dad, from all kinds of problems.' At the time, Burisma was seeking to do business in the United States, but was facing a corruption investigation in Ukraine, led by then-Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin. Regarding that investigation's impact on its ambitions in North America, Burisma CEO Mykola Zlochevsky reportedly said, 'Don't worry Hunter will take care of all of those issues through his dad.' Zlochevsky reportedly stated that he had to pay $5 million to Hunter Biden and $5 million to Joe Biden, an arrangement he described as 'poluchili,' which is Russian crime slang for being 'forced or coerced to pay,' according to the document.

Recall that Shokin was the guy that Biden bragged about getting fired:
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2020...

USA Today tries mightily to spin this, but comes up short.
It's true that Joe Biden leveraged $1 billion in aid to persuade Ukraine to oust its top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, in March 2016. But it wasn't because Shokin was investigating Burisma. It was because Shokin wasn't pursuing corruption among the country's politicians.

Sure, Jan. Had nothing to do with it!

There's some clever wordsmithing in this article to pretend that Shokin wasn't investigating Burisma when Hunter was with them. That's a nice try, but it falls short: Burisma would have hired Hunter to make ALL their problems go away. Not just things that Hunter may or may not have done.

Were Hunter a Republican, he would have been convicted under FARA statutes a long time ago. Not to mention already being in jail for tax evasion.

The link you provided actually disproves your conspiracy theory...

USA Today Fact Check:
FALSE
"Based on our research, the claim that Joe Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion from Ukraine to save his son's job is FALSE.
The then-vice president leveraged aid dollars to persuade the country to oust its top prosecutor as part of anti-corruption efforts
endorsed by other international players that were unrelated to his son, Hunter Biden."

Dope1: ...Burisma CEO Mykola Zlochevsky reportedly said, 'Don't worry Hunter will take care of all of those issues through his dad.' Zlochevsky reportedly stated...

Whatcha' think you got there, exactly?

From the Grassley press release: Zlochevsky claimed to have many text messages and recordings that show that he was coerced into paying the Bidens to ensure Shokin was fired.

First, as very stable genius explained, this is nonsense. U.S. and the international community insisted that Shokin be removed from office:

At the time, the international community and anti-corruption advocates in Ukraine were also calling for Shokin to be removed from office for his failure to aggressively prosecute corruption.

But Trump has repeatedly distorted the facts about Biden's work in Ukraine to baselessly accuse his Democratic rival of seeking Shokin's removal to help his son, Hunter, who at the time was a board member of a Ukraine gas company called Burisma. He left the board in 2019.

Also, an 87-page report was released jointly by the Senate Homeland Security and Finance Committees, which stated there was no evidence "that the elder Mr. Biden improperly manipulated American policy toward Ukraine or committed any other misdeed. In fact, investigators heard witness testimony that rebutted those charges."

Grassley gave away the game in a Fox interview when he said plainly: 'We aren't interested in whether or not the accusations against Vice President Biden are accurate or not.' The republicans' objective, as sano has pointed out, is simply to flood the zone with sh!t.

BTW, Grassley's press release claims that Zlochevsky has many text messages and recordings that show that he was coerced into paying the Bidens to ensure Shokin was fired. Specifically, he claimed to have two recordings with Joe Biden and 15 recordings with Hunter Biden.

Now, as has been repeatedly explained to republicans here and back on the fool, everybody in the world wanted Shokin fired.

Also BTW, you keep telling us that president Biden is the stupidest man to ever walk the face of the earth but what, he was brilliant enough to extort millions of dollars from a business in Ukraine and keep that extortion hidden for years -- including four full years when Trump had every tool of government at his disposal?

I swear, I know you conservatives here are smart but there isn't a conspiracy theory about the Bidens that you guys don't want to marry and raise little conspiracy theories with.

BTW Dope, since you are so interested in illegal/unethical political dealings in Ukraine you're gonna love this one...

"President Trump pressed Ukraine's leader to investigate Democratic presidential front-runner Joe Biden.
The call laid bare an astonishing exchange of requests, pledges and ingratiation.
The call occurred after Trump had ordered a freeze of nearly $400 million in American aid to Ukraine."
"What those notes reflect is a classic Mafia-like shakedown of a foreign leader."

Also from the article:
"There has been no evidence that Biden, who served as U.S. vice president from 2009 to 2017, used his position to help his son in the Ukraine matter."

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-whist...

That is all.

Whatcha' think you got there, exactly?

We've got a lot.

We've now ID'd something like $100M funneled through 20 and counting shell companies for The Big Guy and his family.
We've got multiple federal agencies covering up Hunter's crimes, warning the family off and stonewalling the people trying to do their jobs.

There's corruption all over the place.

Even today, thanks to questioning from a particularly stupid dem rep, we found out that Joe Biden was in fact involved with Hunter's business. Which included strong arming foreign nationals.

Loads of stuff. Spin it all you want.

Tee, hee:
Burisma founder Mykola Zlochevsky, the Ukrainian oligarch who allegedly bribed Joe and Hunter Biden, was "coerced" into sending them money, according to an FBI FD-1023 form released Thursday by Republican Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley.
Zlochevsky and the confidential human source (CHS) allegedly participated in a phone call after the 2016 presidential election, in which Zlochevsky said he was "pushed to pay" the Bidens and did not want to send the money, according to the form.

"CHS asked Zlochevsky whether he was concerned about Burisma's involvement with the Bidens. Zlochevsky stated he didn't want to pay the Bidens and he was 'pushed to pay' them," the FD-1023 form reads.

"(CHS explained the Russian term Zlochevsky used to explain the payments was 'poluchili' (transliterated by the CHS), which literally translates to 'got it' or 'received it,' but is also used in Russian-criminal-slang for being 'forced or coerced to pay'," the form continues.

"CHS then stated, 'l hope you have some back-up (proof) for your words (namely, that Zlochevsky was 'forced' to pay the Bidens). Zlochevsky replied he has many text messages and 'recordings' that show that he was coerced to make such payments," the form adds.

"Zlochevsky asked whether it would make any (legal) difference whether he voluntarily made such payments, or if he was 'forced' to make them," the form continues.

The Ukrainian oligarch said he had a total of "17 recordings" involving the Bidens including two featuring Joe Biden, according to the form. The other 15 recordings allegedly only feature Hunter Biden, who served on Burisma's board beginning in April 2014 until he left the position in 2019.

Strong arming Ukrainians and Chinese for the bucks. In exchange for favors, no doubt.
We know about the billion dollars in loan guarantees in exchange for firing Shokin. What did the Bidens for China?

Or...what are they doing for them now? Besides disarming our own military, that is.

Dope1: urisma founder Mykola Zlochevsky, the Ukrainian oligarch who allegedly bribed Joe and Hunter Biden, was "coerced" into sending them money...

Good Lord, this is remarkably stupid.

Jaw-droppingly stupid.

Let's review the history...

Viktor Shokin never conducted a criminal investigation of Burisma. Mykola Zlochevsky, founder of Burisma, was criminally investigated in Britain for laundering money stolen through British banks. Britain attempted to get documents for its case from Ukraine and Shokin blocked the investigation.

Shokin blocked all investigations into Ukranian oligarchs.

As a result, the EU, international investment firms and the IMF threatened to end investments and cancel loans unless Shokin was fired.

Shokin's deputy resigned, announcing on national TV the details of Shokin's corruption.

The IMF announced it was going to pull tens of billions in loans if Shokin was not fired.

Shokin was fired the next day.

So why in the world would Burisma pay the Bidens a nickel?

And why would Ukrainians refer to Joe Biden as "the big guy," an American idiom, and not use a Ukrainian idiom?

I mean, there are so many basic errors in the Grassley announcement it's mind boggling -- I could go on and on but nothing ever penetrates the cult -- but, hey, as Trump liked to say: "I love the poorly educated."

LOL. It's not 'Grassley's document'. It's an official FBI document.

You know. The kind that actually has real source info.

Speaking of poorly educated, there are loads of people who think that 'dossiers' sourced by political campaigns are real pieces of Evidence. Coincidentally these same people claim that documents like this one are fake.

I think we can draw some conclusions based on that.

Anyhow.
