On TMF in its infancy, I was (back then I was concerned, I hated to see American laid off) citing the Al Gore layoffs going into election 2000.

So yes, I've done it once.

Do you ever do it when the VP isn't the nominee?

It sure sounds like you don't genuinely or authentically believe that layoffs that occur during an administration are the "Veep Layoffs" rather than the "President Layoffs"...just when it's politically expedient.
