A magnitude 3.7 earthquake was reported by the United States Geological Survey to have occurred beneath San Francisco International Airport Friday evening.
Fox news reported the tectonic plates were emboldened by Joe Biden's weakness and this would have never happened under Trump.

Yep.
Was sitting in my gazebo and it got noisy and rattle noises. Took me a few seconds to computer that it's not some industrial truck or tool being used or a helicopter or something. The word 'earthquake' didn't enter my mind.
My 'dream house' that I should've never ever bought has been riddled with issues so I sort of rolled my eyes like "ok, what now".
Frankly I was slightly relieved to know it was a quake versus some major new problem with the house.
Felt the aftershock later on too.

Immediately after the quake, defense counsel for Donald Trump filed a motion demanding the postponement of his scheduled April 15 trial, citing a need to thoroughly review the court building for potential safety issues. Quoting Trump himself in the motion, it said "For the safety of all the prosecutors, judges and clerks whose hard work I appreciate so much, I think it's best to postpone the trial at least twelve months to get an engineering firm to check out the building cuz if there's one thing I know it's construction in NYC and believe you me, those crooked builders cut corners bigly and you don't wanna be in that court when another 9.2 comes around and I know this was only a 4.8 but believe me, when I'm in court, we only have the biggest disasters and it would be likely we'd have a huge one, some say the biggest quake that's ever been had but lucky for the state of New York I happen to own a company that provides construction engineering services and operates a taco truck in Queens and they might be able to get a review scheduled earlier than that for only, say, $175 million that's guaranteed to certify the building cuz I have three building inspectors on the payroll of The Trump Organization cuz that's such a handy thing to have when you own hundreds of buildings..."

Yeah, that reminds me of a guy on TMF on the home maintenance board. His tag as "homemoaner" (I think that's right). He was adept at fixing stuff, as I recall.
The problem with buying a used house. You don't know how the plumbing was done, or the air ducts (are they even still in good shape?), plus older homes were built under older -sometimes obsolete- codes, etc. Investing in a new-build just delays all of that, though. You get several years with the occasional problem, and then the bottom of your water heater falls out...

And when the adviser sheepishly asks, "Why?"
Trump says, "Because I can't trust your "science" advice when it is wrong, and then adds, much to the science guys surprise, "10,000 is wrong and a 9.2 quake is actually over 25,118 times more powerful than a 4.8. The science advisor leaves the room mumbling if I had only studied math instead of CRT.

If powerful means difference in energy release, then I think the energy is approximately 4,000,000 times greater for the 9.2 quake. Ratio of energy release = 31.6^(9.2-4.8)

I'll take your word for it. That Omni earthquake calculator you linked and its associated description were way too deep for me to parse on a laid back Sat night in the barn.
I did think twice about using the word "power" because what I was doing was showing the correct ratio between two logarithmic values, and power seemed like good shorthand.

yeah, i can believe how MAGA doesn't understand the orders of magnitude thing would be the problem, even after their post-google richter search.

I was going to let the matter drop but since you won't let it go,
1) Aussi was right, I used "Power" when the correct term should have been size. I went back to look at Aussi linked Omni Earthquake calculator, where it says this,
Moment magnitude, for now, is the most reliable way of presenting the relative size of an earthquake – especially for large earthquakes.SO, "size" the correct term, not power.
here is your post that I initially commented on.

'you're fired !' - weathermanI stand by my math when I said, "10,000 is wrong and a 9.2 quake is actually over 25,118 times more powerful than a 4.8".
I should have stated it as "10,000 is wrong and a 9.2 quake is actually 25,118 times the size of a 4.8"
In conclusion, Aussi was right about power, I am right about relative size, the only thing wrong is your initial assertion of 9.2 being only 10,000 times larger than a 4.8. You have no basis to be taking a victory lap this morning about understanding logarithms.
about the relative size of 4.8 vs 9.2 with the larger being

Biden keeps drilling for so much oil.
Earthquake is Dem's fault.
Hey, everything was BUsh's fault and Trump's fault when 'the buck stops there'.
So c'mon Dems, stop trying to kill people with Earthquakes.
You must've been going for people of color I just know it.
