You know, this kinda shoots down the notion that everybody running to the southern border is fleeing Central American gangs. Or something.

1. No one said everybody running to the southern border is fleeing Central American gangs. In fact without examining it too much I was willing to believe 10-15% were frauds. Sano thinks a lot are economic refugees, but I did the math and 26% of those who ask for asylum are ultimately granted asylum. I think it's a mixed and varied bag.

2. This is about Chinese who are fleeing China. And one young man when asked, said he was here to "take the money" and wants a job. Clearly an economic refugee. How about everyone else of the hundreds shown in the video? Also, how is a man from China fleeing Central American gangs?

We have authoritarian regimes like Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua that people flee from.

3. At this point he applies for asylum and has 4-6 years of work until his hearing. Is that a win? I dunno.

But it doesn't shoot anything down.
