I understand the balance of interests involved in making these plea deals:
* obtaining corroberation of facts needed to nail more important participants
* avoiding long, drawn out efforts for "little fish"
* speeding the process by reducing court room time
* reaching the ultimate conclusion faster than might have been possible with fully litigated trials
But...
It is impossible to watch people who willingly participated in actions which could have negated the votes of MILLIONS of people escape with no prison time and not think of veterans who risked their lives in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Irag and elsewhere and famiies of people who lost their lives fighting in those places for our right to vote. Watergate was literally just a burglary to obtain political dirt to use against a political opponent. This conspiracy was aimed at literally IGNORING the votes of millions of citizens and simply choosing a winner. A vastly more important crime.
Even John Dean, who worked with the Senate investigative committee while still working at the White House, still served time in prison.
