The IDF won't go quietly. If you try to do that, you'll have to wipe it out. And, by default, the Palestinians will win because there won't be enough of the IDF to oppose them. Then the Israelis will be driven into the sea. And it won't be cheap. They have advanced US weaponry. UN forces will suffer greatly.

Yes. Which is probably why Bibi is doing the genocide. At least his portion of the party is fed up, and they are choosing to wipe out the Palestinians in hopes that they'll get Hamas in the process. If I was an Israeli, and was always worrying about missiles and bombs in my daily life, I'd probably feel the same. I would have supported Rabin's efforts to roll-back settlers and settlements. But that's long past, and almost certainly not an option now. It's either continuing to fear being killed every day, or wipe out the threat. Bibi is wiping out the threat.

As an American, I find the whole thing ridiculous. And I oppose us funding the genocide, or providing weapons. But then I'm not worried about a bomb when I go out for pizza. As an Israeli, I'd have to be worried. Every day. That's not a way to live.
