pbs ran a similar story.
i expect a trickle of these stories from those few MAGA directly impacted and capable of drawing a straight line of attribution...which already presents a narrow funnel.
the non-trump voter in the link has a lot more sympathy than most expect, certainly more than other MAGA.
here is why she (who did not indicate if she voted at all) has misplaced empathy:

- not a single MAGA can conceive of the harm done to other non-trump voters. they may be shamed into this, but not w/out considerable prodding.
- i expect most MAGA would jump back on the trump train were their issue xyz remediated.
- MAGA seems shocked by backlash from their brethren, another datapoint on intelligence and education, which has not changed via revelation. ultimately this places a hard ceiling on why neither party may care in regards to their current situation, but will go back to the propaganda playbook during election season.
- finally, it NEVER occurs to MAGA their 'oops' will likely cause irreversible societal damage. for now, let them bask in 'this is as bad as it can get' and their kristi noem tax-paid advertainment.
