I think the biggest risk is that with "agentic AI", the very same credulous people who piled into meme stocks and Robinhood etc. etc. will turn over their accounts to the agents, and suffer even worse results while taking even more money from those people.
Seems likely.
The thing that rather fascinates me is that, in so many cases, the words coming out of an LLM would be illegal to say if they were coming out of the mouth of a random Joe. Medical advice, mental health advice, legal advice, and investment advice among them. Probably some slander, too. Not to mention questions which amount to "I'm paying you for the answer to this exam question". So it seems that, as far as the law is concerned, there is no-one at the "AI" firm that is responsible for whatever the products spew--the buck doesn't stop anywhere. Companies as such can in some cases be charged with a crime, but seemingly not that either.
