OK...so I opened my ballot. It's too hot outside (plus I tweaked my back), so not doing any heavy labor out there. May as well look at the ballot.

Biden isn't on it. Or, more accurately, POTUS isn't on it. The only federal on it is senator and representative, and there's only one choice each. I don't vote races that have only one candidate, so I will be abstaining from those (there's no choice, so why should I bother?).

But what really got me was that there was no candidate for state representative for my district. So, evidently, that race is already decided. There also is no candidate for county treasurer, justice of the peace, or constable (we have a constable?). Admittedly, pretty minor races, but still annoying. What's the point in voting if I have no choice anyway?

The only votes that really matter are for the city, where there are actual choices where not everyone will continue on to the general ballot.
