Harris has this, my friend. Sure, the polls say it's close but the Presidency is hers now.
We told all the libs here that the people who really run the democrat party - Obama, Pelosi and their crew - were NEVER going to let Biden run. Whoever the voters voted for in the democrat primary didn't matter.
And like you called it, the minute they were told someone else was going to be the nominee and that their preferences don't matter (LOL, also from the list we gave them!)...they're not upset. It's more like "Joe who? Never heard of him,".
So now we have Harris with the Obama people in place running her campaign. They're already running ads in coordination with their PACs and raising money hand over fist. Never mind a lot of what they do is illegal - the dems are masters at laundering money - so the campaign is coalescing at the right time.
Plouffe's strategy is simple:
1. Keep Harris away from all microphones as long as possible. She'll do very few sit down interviews the rest of the way and the robots will celebrate each one that she does as if it's a major accomplishment. She'll only be allowed to recite from a teleprompter (which is more than Biden could do).
2. Run ads hailing her as the multicultural, female future of the country. Avoid any and all policy specifics.
3. Whitewash her history, and rely on the media (who will do what they're told) to scrub 100% of her stated policy positions.
4. Make her a bystander in the Biden/Harris administration, and not responsible for Joe's failures.
5. Issue instructions to the 'bot servers to label Trump with everything that would normally be applied to Harris (you can see them doing that here).
Trump, meanwhile, isn't running any ads during the Olympics and his team isn't doing anything to remind voters why they roundly rejected Harris before a single ballot was cast last time. Instead he's picking fights with media people no one's ever heard of and taking the bait on stupid questions as you point out.
Shapiro gets the dems Pennsylvania: early voting starts in a couple of weeks, so if they can keep western PA voters from seeing literally anything Harris has said in the last 4 years they can use their mail-in GOTV people to hunt down all possible voters.
In Arizona, despite what the textbook says, the 9th Circuit basically said it was ok for illegals to register and vote. If no one is looking for them...how is there a crime?
Shapiro's religion is a problem for the left - antisemitism is now the norm in their party. The campus protests and the lack of much pushback from them proved that. So, they have to be aggressive at scrubbing his background and under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will it be uttered that Shapiro served in the IDF. They'll claim that's a dirty lie. Meanwhile, he won't be the one campaigning in Michigan - Harris will do that - and she'll tell the good folks in Dearborn and Hamtramck that she's got their back. They'll believe that; democrats vote on emotion first.
Now on to the states. PA and AZ are in the bag, so Harris starts with 256 EVs to 251 for Trump. Her path is very simple and boils down to just 1 thing: she needs any 2 of Wisconsin, Michigan and Nevada. She can fire up Harry Reid's machine in Nevada and bring that one in line. As a bonus she might be able to put on the southern accent thing - democrats love fake accents and they love being patronized - and focus on Georgia. Then we're looking at a comfortable 303-235 win for her. She'll likely get a divided Congress but winning the House should be easy with the Arizona ruling and strong turnouts elsewhere. Just keep pounding to AWFLs that Donald Trump is going to take away their abortions and that's assured.
This could still go Trump's way but I doubt it. The shit jobs report will put ENORMOUS pressure on Powell to start cutting rates by a quarter point in September. The resulting sugar high for THE BUT THE DOWN morons will give the media enough room to proclaim that the economy is The Best It's Ever Been.

And furthermore, I'm good with this. As someone close enough to retirement that even Harris couldn't screw that up, I'm content with whatever decline she ushers in. The US needs to hit rock bottom before it can heal itself, and her Presidency will be a good step in that direction. Accordingly I have my money in products that wealthy liberals will always buy and in companies that are ruthlessly woke but ultimately...adaptable...to what they need to do to make the stock price rise.
Some good will come from the November election. Here in WA state a number of citizen initiatives will send a giant middle finger to the democrat goons that run this state. These will be the last as the first thing incoming governor Bob Ferguson will do is pass legislation outlawing the initiative process. He'll claim that taking away choices from the electorate is how we make our democracy stronger and the braindead Seattle voters will go along with it. Why? Because they're brain dead.
