Eric Feigl-Ding @DrEricDing 📉25% LOWER ALL-CAUSE MORTALITY! Wowzers—one of the largest long-term safety studies ever undertaken—offers the clearest answer yet: “Among 28 million French adults aged 18–59, those who received an mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccine were less likely to die in the subsequent four years than those who remained unvaccinated, corresponding to a 25% lower risk of death from all causes.”—and works even better among young adults—⬇️35% lower risk for ages 18-29!
There is also some good evidence that the shingles vaccine reduces the risk of dementia, years later.
Yes. I got the Shingrix a month after I got stateside as I've talked to people who got shingles, and it's painful - open nerve type painful. I've had that type of pain and it took two shots of morphine to stop the pain. Had an internet friend who was anti-vax and swore up and down he'd never been sick in his life and never was vaxxed. Told him most people don't remember getting shots as babies, etc., and I only remember a sugar cube and the itchy scab on my arm that wanted scratching and they wouldn't let me scratch it. :)
Met him later and he got shingles which means he had chicken pox and was getting Shingrix. :)
