If Harris wins.....

All the Biden staffers she was rivals with, the ones who she complained about for not standing when she walked in the room are toast.

They're toast whether she wins or loses.

Someone's going to get blamed for the absolute fustercluck that Biden's re-election turned into. And his Oval Office and campaign staff are going to be the first against the wall. They're not responsible for Biden's choice to run again, and for all we know he could have been in much better shape in April 2023 than June 2024. But they are going to get pilloried for not letting the rest of the party know what kind of condition he was in during the last few months. Clearly someone made the decision that the best way forward was to bubble-wrap Biden, and then all of his "inner circle" went along with it. That ended up being a terrible and costly decision for the party, so they're going to take the heat for their role in it.

The party needs a fall guy - a villain to send out into the desert carrying the utter catastrophe of Biden '24. Mike Donilon, come on down!
