Jim, I'm curious what you use for a 'safe asset' in lieu of t-bills?Nothing fancy. Cash on deposit at one or the other of my brokers, in a mix of currencies. That earns a meaningful, if not generous, average interest rate.
I also own a little WIP, which is an ETF holding a broad basket of non-US inflation protected government bonds. In my view that's the safest "one click" security for maintaining purchasing power. The small real return is just a bonus.
I might buy some UK government bonds (not long dated).
