An interesting piece on home schooling. In general, I'm opposed to this practice. But I always thought there were some checks to make sure something was being learned. Apparently not. A lobby group opposes any regulation or oversight. I am vehemently opposed to that. The whole point is the kids. There needs to be oversight for their protection (abuse), and to assure their right to accurate (as far as we know) knowledge is being preserved.

(I say "as far as we know" because we can only teach the latest information, but especially in science that does get updated frequently.)
