Trump's pattern of antagonism towards anyone in the field of artistic endeavors continues to produce embarrassment. Now the members of ABBA have asked Trump's campaign to stop using their music at his campaign events. The Trump campaign claims it has obtained the rights to use their songs from whoever the appropriate powers that be are for such things.

I dunno... You can mess with the Democrats, you can flip-flop multiple times with the anti-abortion crowd but do you really want to take on Agnetha, Bjorn, Bennie and Anni?

I seem to recall that Republicans have a history of doing that. Going back several election cycles. I think Bush Jr did it. Not sure about McCain. I think Trump did in 2016 and 2020.

Tried to search, but mostly I just got the latest dust-up with ABBA. I did find a Rolling Stone article...apparently even Reagan did it (with Springsteen).

Evidently, it's also happened with Dems. But a lot less frequently. The convict (and his campaign) apparently doesn't care.

As I recall, Congress passed some pretty strict laws at the behest of some music association. The artists should sue his ass into the ground.
