No it wasn't - but Warren has historically not been willing to weigh in on his opinions (especially critical opinions) on stocks picked by other people at Berkshire.

No, I would be shocked if PARA and TSM were not Warren's ideas. I'm sure the three of them discuss companies and probabilities of X and Y and Z endlessly so it is quite possible that it was discussion with Todd or Ted that ultimately tipped the scales on un-doing the TSM position. PARA was probably just a bet that it needed to be sold and the time was coming soon. I always thought sticking CBS back in there made it less clean to sell, but they will have plenty of offers when the time comes.

Hi, I agree with him, '' Autos and streaming services couldn't be more different. They have high costs and no real brand power despite all efforts to gin it up. They live at the center of a maelstrom of change. There's no moat. Paramount Global (PARA), the streaming service Berkshire owns, just cut its dividend, a bad sign in Buffett's view and major evidence that it is a poor investment. The short version is that Apple is a wonderful business while autos and streamers of entertainment are horrible businesses.
So why hasn't Buffett sold Berkshire's position in Paramount? The probable reason is that it wasn't Buffett but one of his two lieutenants who bought it. I'll have more to say on this later.''
