Odd that Trump is supposedly gaining ground with black and hispanic voters.It's not that odd. Black and hispanic men typically hold more conservative social beliefs than Democrats in general. They also tend to be more supportive of traditional conceptions of masculinity, which aligns more with GOP attitudes on society than that of Democrats:

Yeah, but Trump hates them just because they are black or Hispanic. I wouldn't vote for someone who hated me.

Sure. They have a wide variety of things that are important to them, and that animus is only going to be one part of it. It's not like any of them will run into Trump personally - and many young folks are skeptical that the federal government is on their side in any circumstances.. It's not like Log Cabin Republicans didn't exist, after all.
