Being a dedicated Fox viewer, I saw it live. If you don't watch regularly, you are unaware this is sort of Jesse's schtick. He says similar things men do then points out they are effeminate for a man to do, eg drink though a straw in public.
I know he was dead serious that Jesse said that. He just did not recognize it as the humor it was.

Just saw Jesse Waters trying to spin Trump's disaster as a good thing because he showed up and Vice President Harris didn't. And Waters says that this will rip the headlines away from the Vice President and back onto Trump. That one I can buy. The headlines will be showing Trump at his worst yet again - literally getting booed in the first couple minutes of his appearance.
And then Waters has the gall to say the Vice President doesn't care about the black vote because she wasn't there. Let's completely ignore the fact that she wasn't there because she was speaking to a black sorority group instead.
I've never paid much attention to Waters. But he follows the same formula as Trump and his minions. Ignore facts, claim victory, demean your opponents. It's almost funny once you've learned to look for it. It's absolutely everywhere in Trumplandia.

It's a misogynist joke and it's not funny. You've been conditioned to like humor made at the expense of 'others.'
I have in-laws and friends who were avid Rush listeners/Fox watchers.
They listen to those "jokes" and internalize them. Those 'jokes' validate their biases.
-Rush funny good smart man, Lib-girly stupid bad men, Lib women bad feminazis, and now 'immigrants take black jobs'. 'I like accountants who wear yarmulkes'. Pardon my French but, Hah f*cking hah.
It's obvious it has done the same to you. You internalize the humor, the jokes, such that they shape your perception of the world.
So while you call them jokes, and criticize others for a lack of humor, they ain't jokes. They fortify bigotry and racist, sexist, misogynist beliefs.
