I note with interest that the very first posting by a conservative on my Facebook page wasn't anything about Trump's policies, but about how So Very Glad the poster was that liberals were angry about the results.
And there you have it.
A Republican electorate driven by hate, picked a candidate whose hallmark was hate, and has now elected a candidate with all the tools (GQP House & Senate, complicit USSC) to exercise that hate.
So now we'll get to see just how happy they are living in that hate as Project 2025 goes into motion.

I'm no optimist by nature but I doubt Trump can do all the truly awful things he has promised to do. But with one party controlling all three branches of government, things could get really ugly.

Even if the Dems lose the House, there's still going to be a little bit of friction. While there's a good chance of that happening, it is unlikely that the GOP will pick up a material amount of seats. They'll still have some of the difficulties attendant to a very narrow majority.
That said, those will be mitigated by the GOP also controlling the Senate and Presidency. It's much easier to whip for the Speaker on votes that are supported by the President and the Senate majority, rather than opposed by them (and thus unlikely to even come to the floor or pass).
