Roger Stone had videographer, Christoffer Guldbrandsen, following him around during the 2020 presidential election cycle. In early November of 2020, before the election was officially called for Joe Biden but when the Trump campaign team believed they had lost the election, Roger Stone was busy pushing the alternate elector scheme to various associates, and Guldbrandsen has Stone on film directing the effort through an assistant.

Stone dictated: 'Although state officials in all 50 states must ultimately certify the results of the voting in their state' the final decision as to who the state legislatures authorize be sent to the Electoral College is a decision made solely by the legislature. Any legislative body may decide on the basis of overwhelming evidence of fraud, to send electors to the Electoral College who accurately reflect the president's legitimate victory in their state, which was illegally denied him through fraud.'

With a plan already in the works, the Father of the Stop the Steal movement set the fake electors wheels turning.

Guldbrandsen said that Stone soon began lobbying Trump for a preemptive pardon but when it never arrived, Stone had a melt down and started bad-mouthing Trump, suggesting it would be good if Trump ended up in prison where he could reflect on letting his team players down by failing to protect them with pardons.

Hhmmm. Stone on camera plotting the fake electors scheme to defraud states of their votes and secure a victory for Donald Trump seems, well, umm, indictable.

Yes! Maybe we can reach out from Georgia, so he can't be pardoned this time. 😊

Honestly, this news is a head scratcher. I honestly thought this was already known. If I recall correctly, the existence of this documentary crew became known either after some of the crazy legal motions started getting filed in the various states or DEFINITELY after the actual January 6 riot. I recall that because they also had footage of Roger Stone meeting with Proud Boys leaders in a street somewhere where Stone made similar comments that basically echoed the Steve Bannon modus operandi.... "Flood the zone with ______" and use up all available oxygen trying to refute an ever expanding cloud of lies so that no reality can be discussed. Filing bogus claims with state legislatures certainly fits that goal. To morons who know nothing about election processing, the paperwork looks official and "by the book" and having it appear in five states would certainly look sinister to someone already equipped with a 2-ton tin foil helmet ready to believe in stories of fraud.

If it helps Jack Smith or Fani Willis further prove

a) an understanding of an actual LOSS in the election
b) conscious intent to IGNORE that truth and subvert multiple state elections before a single state closed its polls

then I suppose it's welcome.

At a larger level, Roger Stone is a seriously warped, vile human. He literally has a room in his house that looks like a shrine to Richard Nixon, with campaign paraphernalia from both 1968 and 1972. Think I'm joking? See this:

If you believe in reincarnation, you'd have to believe Roger Stone as the Devil in Sympathy for the Devil. In a prior life, he had to be there in 1933 at the Reichstag with gallons of petrol, gleefully ushering in the era of Hitler, in full agreement with everything to come.

Love this description. Kudos - Kudos.

Yes, the videographer did became known, because I was astounded that Roger Stone was eccentric enough to have one - and not realize it was just evidence collecting. How big is his ego? He thought he should have an autobiography? Dirty deeds done dirt cheap? Then the pardon immaculate! The cleansing miracle.

Would it be too much to hope for some healthy charge to made outside of the pardon that gives him the dilemma of flipping on Trump? The choice - stay loyal and look at 20 years... or flip on the fellow who pardoned you. The choice! :)

please correct as needed...
stone was pardoned by trump for a specific set of lies to congress.
he is not immune from any\all possible crimes during his productive career.

and the other usual suspects (whoops, i mean felons) were also pardoned for a specific crimes, not in a blanket manner.
what is their involvement on the ongoing 4 cases vs. trump ?
(ok to reply it would be much too long to post)

Correct. His prior pardon from Trump only pertains to crimes regarding actions he took along with Paul Manafort. It is not a blanket pardon for future, unspecified, unlimited wrong-doing.

As I mentioned earlier, the "surprise" around this "surprise" is, ummm... surprising.

The last 24 hours of talking head investigations and analysis seem to imply the following timeline:

* election was held 11/3/2020
* Stone was recorded dictating this letter regarding fraudulent involvement of state legislatures on 11/5/2020
* multiple parties in the Trump sphere circulated similar letters on 11/5, 11/6 and 11/7
* the first totally confident call on the election was made on 11/7

Thus, this letter seems to imply that multiple members of the conspiracy were acting on a path to initiate this criminal fraud BEFORE actual election results were even available to review to begin considering for signs of alleged fraud. The plot was likely the result of a decision by someone who KNEW they were going to lose beginning alternative plans as soon as possible to remain in power -- and there is no legal way to remain in power after losing a Presidential election.

My take on Stone's roll in the entire plot is this...

Stone was primarily occupied fulfilling his normal role in Republican politics devising and executing various "dirty tricks" schemes throughout the 2020 campaign. As election day neared and it became clear Trump would likely lose, his team began contemplating alternatives that could be pursued if he lost.

Probably the FIRST alternative considered was civil unrest and violence. Communication channels were already established between Trump's sphere and groups like the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers before the debates and that relationship was even explicitly addressed in a debate. It seems 100% likely that Stone was THE coordinator for that channel. It is 100% certain that channel was not expected to act as the legal brain trust for any litigation regarding fraud claims. They were involved purely for muscle for any eventual planned public events that would attempt to spook the public at large into thinking there was great civil unrest and gee, we must have security, let's let Trump tamp this down with troops, etc. Managing communications with a bunch of thugs is TOTALLY up Stone's alley so he took on that role.

It is already known that Stone administered a members-only encrypted chat channel "Friends of Stone" or FOS that had 15-20 regular participants. Given the timeline above, it seems likely that Stone's "draft" he dictated on 11/5 was shared on that channel and started others in the conspiracy thinking along similar lines. The record already shows Jeff Chesebro wrote his memo AFTER Stone wrote and distributed his version. I presume that the larger team felt a lawyer needed to be seen originating any "real" letter on this topic sent out to allies at the state level cuz Stone's signature is not something anyone wants on paperwork that might go public -- he already has a fifty year history as a complete whack job. Two others in the indicted team (Eastman and someone else) also originated drafts of a "legislature" strategy between 11/6 and 11/7 so a prosecutor could argue that Stone's version is "draft 0" and the seed of that particular crime.

The theory now seems to be that Stone was not named as a defendant so far because a) Smith wants to keep the docket for his case as streamlined as possible and b) Willis may have lacked some of the communication referencing Stone's draft and the means by which it was shared. I don't think there is any course of events that could unfold under which Stone will NOT be indicted and convicted and sent to prison. The gravitational pull of the negative karma of his entire life is too great to escape, not to mention his actual complicity here.

Oh, this is going to be good. Now if we could only see Bannon singed a little bit. I mean this is the stuff of plays. I have faith we'll see this all execute and at least 75-80% of the charges will survive appeals. :)
