Brother Jim and I have discussed this topic many times the past 20 years. Brk options are not very liquid, the spreads are often a bit wide hence most of us enter limit orders somewhere between the spread. Who knows how many investors read these boards , what size they trade, and follow trades we discuss on the boards? Jim is very unselfish or he still doesn't believe it's very material. All I know with 100 percent certainty is, if I'm offered at say 7$$ and another order is entered to sell at 6.95, that hurts my potential of getting filled. Carry on but that's reality 101. IF we were talking spy options or another liquid options market that would be another issue. For the record I'm currently short the jan 17 25 calls strike 410 for 16.15$$. For 3/4s of my brkb. Good luck all. BTW, short puts on far out of the money puts on max margin is a trade Buffett would NEVER BLESS, NEVER, imo, for what it's worth.

"" Ugh, I apologize - I did mean to say put writing. (If there's scenarios where you've ever found that advantageous over buying DITM calls or buying stock when BRK is at lower prices/undervalued)"" I forgot , another WARNING for Americans. Check the tax laws with respect to buying or selling in the money options, google it and make sure you understand our tax regs. Uncle Sam wants a piece of us !!
