The title is awesome. Of course they had to add in Islamophobia even though there was no such thing going on.

Reflecting on their experience, one student from the antisemitism groups said:
…antisemitism has gone up on campus, and I think I’ve seen things like swastikas being written and
drawn on the walls, and that is horrible, and I absolutely condemn that, and I condemn all the awful
hate speech and the violence being promoted on both sides of the issue.
A student from the Islamophobia groups echoed the rise in tensions, stating:
Like it feels like my identity is something that could have me potentially targeted, and that’s not
something I felt last year at UW, and I think that escalated a lot this year…

...because they have to play 'both sides'. liberalism, it's awful.

My sympathies are not with the protestors, but it is important to note that UCLA (and University of Washington) probably have to prioritize free speech over stopping protests.

Unlike private schools like Columbia, these are public schools. They are government actors. They can't censor students' speech in general, even when that speech is hateful.

They can adopt content-neutral time, place and manner restrictions on student speech and protests - but they can't just step in and stop protests just because they don't like the content of the protests, even if the content is terrible. Even if the groups involved and the content is linked to violence, but does not meet the Brandenberg standard. From the SCOTUS decision of Healy v. James:

Yet the precedents of this Court leave no room for the view that, because of the acknowledged need for order, First Amendment protections should apply with less force on college campuses than in the community at large. Quite to the contrary, "[t]he vigilant protection of constitutional freedoms is nowhere more vital than in the community of American schools." Shelton v. Tucker, 364 U. S. 479, 364 U. S. 487 (1960). I find the more extreme campus protests odious, and some of the messaging to be horrible. But state schools are very limited in their ability to prevent students from speaking based on the content of their speech.

Yeah Dope. I dont like the protestors but I guess they gotta allow free speech.

The problem is these schools are fine with not stopping activist students from preventing other students from exercising their free speech. And in some cases preventing other students from even accessing the campus to attend classes.

Washington in particular did a very poor job of protecting the rights of Jewish students.

Notice how the usual suspects - the ones who shout "Trayvon!" over the latest racial bonfire - are sort of not as intense on this one? They love the situations where they can appear concerned - but secretly comforted that Liberalism will stand - and the very demographics they pretend to care about-----will remain poor and scared and under their thumb.

"Nazi! Parade!"

But here is yet another example of people in Liberal institutions DOING things to other human beings - not just tweeting from a parade or whatever they did.
