Every day in Trumplandia is another authoritarian revelation but to watch a peacefully protesting priest get shot in the head with a pepper ball for sport clearly falls into the WTF bucket, no? I mean, at least for anyone who isn't a Nazi. Now if Antifa! had shot a priest in the head, it would have been all over the Post, the NYT, and been on every show on Fox but this priest being shot in the head didn't even seem to make the news.
I guess we've now moved from the "Trump just being Trump" to the "Trump's Gestapo just being Trump's Gestapo" phase of authoritarianism.

Minor quibble- we presbyterian clergy are “ministers of Word and Sacrament”, not priests. We do not pretend to be official mediators of God’s grace. The priesthood, at least in our faith and practice, has been democratized- all of us, clergy and lay people alike, are priests to one another.
