Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A) (BRK.B) purchased $53.9M of Lennar (LEN) shares in the last three days of September, pushing the insurance conglomerate's ownership to a stake valued at ~$2.16B, according to a regulatory filing on Wednesday.

From Sept. 28 through Sept. 30, the firm acquired 656,302 of Lennar's class A common shares and 4,108 of Lennar's class B (LEN.B) common, bringing its total holdings to 26.0M class A shares and 553,000 class B shares.
The combined holdings bring Berkshire's (BRK.B) (BRK.A) stake in the U.S. homebuilder to ~11%, just under Vanguard's 11.2% holding, according to Bloomberg News.
