I saw this live and it left me scratching my head. Did McBride want to be referred to that way? But that can't be right since she transitioned from male at birth to her female true identity. Was it a simple oversight on the person introducing her? Or was it a deliberate slight?

Unless there has already been a public apology, I’d consider it to be a deliberate action.
