Qazu, crime and violence has gone up recently in Guatemala, it had been declining. 2025 - 59.5 Guatemala, 49.3, US with higher # worse. The surrounding states in the area are worse though. I remember Guatemala as fairly peaceful for a Latin American state. See the link and run your cursor over the map.
