Former president Trump has been indicted on four criminal counts, including obstruction and conspiracy to defraud the United States. He was not indicted for inciting the Jan 6 riot. More news to come.

This indictment is a big deal and goes right to the heart of Trump's corruption and criminality. The really dangerous stuff.

Not sure how likely he is to be convicted but glad to see he is being held to account by our justice system.

...the indictment alleges Trump:

- directed a network of efforts to overturn the popular vote in swing states he lost, like setting up illegitimate electors and pressuring state lawmakers

- tried to obstruct Congress and pressure his own vice president to overturn the election results

- tried to use the Justice Department to 'make knowingly false claims of election fraud'
