The luggage thing is an issue with some people. They just think they need everything on a trip. I learned my lesson on my first Europe trip and since then only have a backpack and a carry on back. My wife does the same thing. She knows I sure won't be carrying bags for her if she packs too much.
We were on a train, I think it was going to Rothenburg, Germany and this older couple (70ish) was talking about all of their traveling over the years and how experienced they are. Then when we got off the train we looked back and they had a bunch of luggage they were taking off the train and waiting for a taxi. My wife and I looked at each other and were wondering why so much luggage.
I just figure I will wear things multiple times. At times try to clean things in a bath tub and usually keep one set of clothes for the return flight home.
It isn't as if anyone on the trip knows us so wearing the same items in multiple cities don't matter, and honestly even if I knew people I wouldn't care about what they think.
