Harris got zero support in the Democratic primaries in 2020 and zero (obviously) in 2024.
You’re confusing election results with the quality of a candidate.
There are two skill sets involved in politics. The ability to run a campaign and the ability to govern after winning the campaign. All the election does is identify who can run a campaign. And even then, the loser of a campaign can still be a good quality candidate.
I’d argue that Harris was a good candidate in 2020 - that she could do at least an average job in the Presidency - but she lacked experience in running a national campaign. Even she probable knew that, but ran anyway simply to gain the experience of running a campaign.
And just on a technical level, she got enough financial support to sustain her campaign throughout 2019, declaring in January and suspending in December.
As to 2024, I’d say she had plenty of support in the primaries - as the VP candidate under Biden.
Harris also blew threw $1.5 billion in ten weeks.
Don’t you mean she RAISED $1.5 billion in 10 weeks? Trump didn’t even raise $500 million in the entire months long campaign. (And I think the number is more like 1.2 billion for Harris.) To call it a waste simply because she lost in 2024 would be to call Trumps spending in 2020 a waste simply because he lost that one.
Also, she can't string two coherent sentences together.
She was a classic "DEI" selection
You’re letting your biases get in the way here.
