A judge has recommended the disbarment of the architect of Orange Jesus's conspiracy to overturn a lawful presidential election, effective three days from today.
Judge Yvette Roland’s opinion comes after a lengthy trial about Eastman’s actions as he led some of the efforts for Donald Trump to challenge his 2020 election loss. The opinion serves as a recommendation to the California Supreme Court, which will ultimately decide whether to endorse or reject the punishment. Eastman will have the opportunity to appeal Roland’s ruling.Too bad, so sad.
But #ETTD.

Key Conclusion:
"Most of his misconduct occurred squarely within the course and scope of Eastman's representation of President Trump and culminated with a shared plan to obstruct the lawful function of the Government."
Eastman and Chesebro decided to give a legal cover for Stone's plan to disrupt the transfer of power. Can you pardon a disbarment?

Interesting notion, but I don't think so. Albaby will scold me if I'm wrong.
The Bar is a different entity, and not a judicial one. And they are different in every state. So POTUS couldn't do it anyway, but I don't think a governor could, either. They could pardon for crimes, but the Bar just controls their law license. If that's revoked, it's revoked.

Yep, but they also can reinstate. Will be interesting to see play out. Did they think they were impervious?

True.
But I would be surprised if they reinstated after revocation. It takes a LOT to lose your license (look at all the crooked lawyers just in Trump's wake, and I think only Giuliani lost his license). I've also seen reports about negligence and incompetence in not-high-profile lawyers, and they usually don't lose their licenses either. (Same with doctors and state medical boards...John Oliver did a segment on that a few weeks ago.)
I get that one shouldn't revoke a license lightly, but it seems both medical and legal boards are very reluctant to revoke licenses even with multiple complaints/incidents.

some are court ordered:
(a) Reinstatement; Applicability. A lawyer who is ineligible to practice due to a court-ordered disciplinary suspension of 91 days or more or who has been placed on the inactive list for incapacity not related to misconduct may be reinstated to membership in good standing in The Florida Bar and be eligible to practice again under this rule. The proceedings under this rule do not apply to any lawyer who is ineligible to practice law due to a delinquency as defined in rule 1-3.6 of these rules.
Others aren't:
Any petitioner for reinstatement from discipline for prior misconduct is required to produce clear and convincing evidence of rehabilitation including, but not limited to, the following elements: (A) strict compliance with the specific conditions of any disciplinary, judicial, administrative, or other order, where... etc, etc
But let's face it, if T is Pres, he will expect his will to be adhered to. I think he could have influence over a state bar. Let's not find out by voting him gone.
