All this nonsense about an "illegal alien" crime wave is especially hilarious today as Mad King Donald, without explanation, illegally refuses to release $7 billion in congressionally allocated funding for schools.

The Trump administration has declined to release nearly $7 billion in federal funding that helps pay for after-school and summer programs, support for students learning English, teacher training and other services.

The money was expected to be released by Tuesday. But in an email on Monday, the Education Department notified state education agencies that the money would not be available.

This is lawlessness. Republicans who believe in the rule of law should be enraged but we all know cruelty is the new republican mantra as 20 percent of all students in after-school programs nationally are left without their programs. After-school programs, now unfunded, are being cancelled and many rural parents who relied on those programs to care for their children while they were at work have been informed they need to make backup plans, though few exist in their communities.

Kind of makes one wonder why Congress is even bothering with a budget when Mad King Donald has decided that he is literally the King of America and he and his minions may do as they please with our tax dollars regardless of how they were approved, allocated, and legally disbursed by Congress.

No doubt when the day comes that a democratic president sits in the White House, republicans will find this kingly behavior perfectly fine.

Wait, what is it that the dopey guy like to say all the time?

Oh yeah: bwahahahahahahahaha.

======================

We have had "The President is only an order taker" argument before.

SCOTUS recently ruled that the President does in fact exercise significant discretion over these funds. The justices would be pleased to know that bhm agrees wholeheartedly with their decision.

I've never heard that argument. But when Congress allocates $7 billion, withholding that the day before it is going to be disbursed is irresponsible. People need to be able to plan and throwing in that level of disruption needlessly at the last second isn't the sign of a great executive. It's all om you BHM - you, Dope, Jedi, and LM, everything that happens from here on out - you own it.
