Who's to say what is "normal"? "Normal" has changed radically over time, and will continue to change long after you and I are dead and buried.

I don't think any one of us can be the arbiter of what is "normal". As long as they aren't hurting other people, live and let live. Whether I -or you- really understand them or not is irrelevant.
