Did Patel commit perjury (*)? It seems so, but if true, why doesn't this disqualify him? Has perjury EVER disqualified any Senate nomination?

(*) - Patel claimed to know of no effort to purge FBI officials during his confirmation hearing, but whistle blowers proved that he was not only aware of an effort, but Patel was actually directing it.)
