Yeah yeah the online warriors can Google this and that - - I'll leave that to them and hope they keep fanning the fire. As someone who loves watching them dig themselves into more holes as a nation - I encourage such. But while they do the heavy lifting, I just like to enjoy politics. Especially these days when they get what they deserve with no end in sight :) anyways......

None of this means I endorse nor reject 100% of what said President did. It's just one person opting out of the "100% purity.....ha ha ha " mindset that has gripped today's tribes and castes in America. But taking a break from watching the fun - ----

In my lifetime.....

Jimmy Carter
*************
What a decent, honest, genuine man. I appreciate his brave stance, where he doesn't just fall in line with Israel and called it like he saw it 0- vis a vis occupation and apartheid. There are many in America who get to have it both ways, and sort of look the other way when Israel's interests are forwarded - and someone like Chuck Hagel, or in this case Carter I consider to be intellectually honest and not hooked on political expedience. Also the movie ARGO....that whole amazing plan. Sure it was operatives that did it but Jimmy Carter, knowing FULL well he needed that political capital - did not publicize or brag.

Ronald Reagan
*************
So glad he didn't fall in with the "nuclear freeze" crowd. Ahem. His expensive defense build up was scorned by some - and those who were criticizing nuclear spending, and throwing rose petals at Gorbachev - now find themselves nice and hawkish in Russia and America's arsenal is a big reason the West has such leverage on this matter. His restoring of American spirit. It was nice being a schoolboy, being proud of the country and President. Loved his humor, and while no politician is a saint - I like how he didn't want to "hate" the other side. And many on the other side were the same with him. The tax cuts jump started so many great things and I"m glad my parents and subsequently myself were able to have a growing thriving country to achieve things in.

Bush Senior
************
My 1st vote was in 1992 - I voted illegally as I was not 18 yet.(Americans, so easy !). I voted Ross Perot and still love that man to this day. I really had disdain for Bush Senior in many ways. I felt he was typical Establishment, out of touch, globalist and some of those criticisms I still hold to. BUT..... the man was wise to know he can't be an occupying power in Iraq. He understood that certain people - NEEDED 'Saddam' type of discipline to be kept in line and that a Western occupier would have no clue nor capability to deal with such.

Bill Clinton
*************

One of my biggest regret is what my side did to him over the Lewinsky thing. Certainly there's hypocrisy amongst the ME-TOO-FEMINIST LEFTIES - but man we dogged this guy over a personal private thing. Had we not done it - I'm convinced Clinton and Newt would've had entitlement reform. I also salute the insurance portability progress made by Bill Clinton, along with the Welfare reform he worked with Republicans on. Also full applause for all the extra police he helped hire, AND yes - his assault weapon ban took much political skill....and he got that done. I have zero doubt this man cares about people and perhaps the most intelligent man to have that office in my lifetime. Truth be told I once met Hillary Clinton when she was a Senator - it was about 60 seconds - but it was a meaningful quick chat -- more personable versus on TV.

W Bush
********
Yeah, I'm a sucker. After megaphone 9-11 day I sort of fell in love. And I was dead wrong to support Iraq.Nevertheless I admire his lack of desire for accolades in Brussels or Paris. Also the Prescription Drugs for Seniors. Certainly an imperfect, incomplete step.....but nevertheless, he made it.

Barack Obama
*************

Decency. My goodness the decency. The poise. With Trump - I really learned not to take decency for granted and Obama personified it. Despite perception - he was RUTHLESS against terrorists. (Freedom Fighters, if Europe is topic but I digress). HE smartly went after Al Qaeda - surgically. Having partially been raised broad, Obama was NOT culturally naive and clueless like most Americans. There's a *reason* why Obama didn't tell Pakistan squat, before going into a sovereign country, into a residential neighborhood, and taking care of business. ACA- "ObamaCare" - an imperfect yet MARVELOUS step. I disagreed with the employer mandate.....but applauded the rest of it. I'm disappointed the Republicans got the mandatory-insurance thing cancelled -- it hurt Repubs more than Dems. Being 47 and fully retired - if it wasn't for Obama, I would NOT be able to buy decent insurance right now - nobody in their right mind would sell it to me.

"PUTIN!!!" took Crimea. He took it. And I am glad Obama didn't plunge the West into a march towards a World War. That restraint was merely an acknowledgement of reality.

Donald Trump
************
Nothing positive to say character-wise. Nothing. Frankly I feel he doesn't believe most of his platform - he just smartly adopted it to win. Loved the stand against political correctness. For an older out of shape guy - the stamina to take on the Clinton machine was impressive. Also loved him calling out certain trade deals, and openly calling out on imperial Colonist Slave Trader Europe - to foot more of the bill for defense (which they are starting to do -thanks Vladdy lol) Some of us were called 'isolationist' and "protectionist" by the corporate Liberuls here - and it's good to see how many in both parties are now changing course, if only a bit on things like China.

Joe Biden
***********

Even in my partisan days - I really liked him and I used to write about it. Love his personality, realness, and sense of humor. I fully support his infrastructure bill - again, not 100% - but I'm not seeking 100% or even close. I don't care about America and American news much anymore so I only see headlines for a laugh - well, a giggle too. But I hope there's nothing vis a vis China stuff - that would be a heartbreak for me. Also, while has to pay some lip service to the extreme Progressives - Biden is not one of them. He's an American and it's my hope he continues to not let the extreme Progressives hijack him.

All leaders will have good and bad. Nothing wrong with being able to pick and choose.

Not seeing the daily news I dont know who all will run in 2024.

My only "NO WAY" list is Liz Cheney and Kamala Harris. Nikki Haley is 100% pure NeoCon but I won't freeze her out yet...would be bad for America, but fun for other purposes that I won't go into here.
