Sing to the tune of “Suicide is Painless”
Such an apropos title for what we have going on! So many people unaware or not caring that we're abandoning the very things that have made us into a great country: science, education, being a reliable and generous ally, standing up to fascist dictators, at least trying to be a leading force of "good" in the world.
Did we do all those things perfectly? Nope. Held against a standard of perfection, everyone comes up short (even Mother Teresa, by her own admission). But that doesn't mean that some aren't better than others, or that we should give up even trying and start selling cologne instead.
