I know, I know. How would a US Army general who DonOLD Trump appointed as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff have any insight into his fitness to be president? Laughable right?

Well, laughable according to republicans... just not most of the men and women he hand selected who actually worked alongside him and now refuse to endorse him or have flat-out said he is unfit for office.

And of course Milley walked it back, saying in congressional testimony,

"At no time was I attempting to change or influence the process, usurp authority, or insert myself into the chain of command, but I am expected to give my advice and ensure that the president is fully informed," he said.

That statement has to do with him advising the president and in no way justifies him advising the Chicoms. He was essentially conducting his own foreign policy by an unauthorized attempt to quell Chinese concerns about Trump's intentions.

I know, and surly you know he will support Russia/Putin against all advice from experienced knowledgeable people. (If you think he is experienced and knowledge in foreign policy, please provide where he got that experience and knowledge).

I know he will support any regime that will support his business affairs, or even book some rooms in his hotels.

I know he will try to cut the legs out of any foreign leader who does not pay him homage.

I know he is very simple to manipulate.

I know the US will e in a very unfavorable position when it comes to foreign policy if Trump is elected. Trump had 4 years to solve the Russia/Ukraine war. It started well before his election. He did nothing to stop Russian aggression.

The question you propose, whether circumstances do not sometimes occur, which make it a duty in officers of high trust, to assume authorities beyond the law, is easy of solution in principle, but sometimes embarrassing in practice. Consider the possibility that Gen. Milley understood the gravity of the situation better than you do from your distant vantage point and with your demonstrably limited ability to assess personal integrity and competence.

Milley is the kind of patriot we need more of. Not the sycophantic, boot licking self promoters who cluster around Trump hoping to promote their overweening ambition for power.

Trump is the traitorous one who patriotic Americans SHOULD oppose.

Can you imagine the kind of executive branch we will have under a second Trump administration? It will be truly destructive, incompetent, chaotic and corrupt.

Trump might praise China's crackdown on Tiananmen Square protesters in 1989, saying it "shows you the power of strength."
Trump might call Dictator Viktor Orban "one of the strongest leaders anywhere in the world."
Trump might steal classified documents, lie about it and maybe even show them to his "friends"!
Trump might repeatedly push President Zelensky to investigate his political opponent. (Trump might withhold a congressionally-mandated $400 million military aid package to Ukraine, in an attempt to obtain cooperation from Zelensky.)
