Nothing to do with US Policy, so can't put this there. And really not about atheism, but I'm posting here because it was something I would have posted on the old AF board at TMF.

Surveys.

Seems like every time I have an interaction with a company, I get a survey. "How was your stay at our hotel?" "How was our phone representative?" Some are very persistent, often sending follow-ups if I ignored the first one. A lot of my receipts now direct me to leave comments on their website (though at least most of those will give me a code to get some little freebie, like a free drink on my next visit).

Well...a few moments ago, I did a search of my email to see if I could find a particular message. Afterwards, a pop-up presented itself asking if I was satisfied with my search results. Really?? I think it's getting excessive. And I wonder if anyone actually reads any of it, or it's just a placebo to make me feel like they're listening.
