The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

The most viewed post earlier today on Twitter about the Perry high school shooting was by a QAnon promoter who falsely claimed that the shooting was a "false flag" to "distract the media" from the Jeffrey Epstein court documents. Eight hours ago it had over a million views.

Thanks to the firehose of lies that are rapidly, repetitively, and continuously delivered over Twitter and Fox "News," large swathes of Americans have lost the ability to distinguish fantasy from reality, facts from lies. According to a new Washington Post-University of Maryland poll that tracked several hot-button issues leading into the 2024 presidential primaries, only 31% of republicans acknowledge that Joe Biden’s presidency is legitimate.

Seriously, are republicans that stupid? Or is it the cult thing?

Fer crying out loud, Nikki Haley is right there. She twists and twirls whichever way the political wind blows but she is not completely corrupt and evil and criminal like Orange Jesus. Or out of her mind like Barty Crouch DeSantis. I mean, what's with that snake tongue?

But it's late, so g'night Shrewddom.

Or as Dr. Wilbur Larch said: Goodnight, you princes of Maine, you kings of New England.

And no, he wasn't being discriminatory, he was saying goodnight to the boys in the orphanage.

today.umd.edu - Umd post poll republicans increasingly loyal to trump sympathetic to capitol rioters
