Putin's relationship with oligarchs did not end when he ascended to the top spot. Check out his relationship, for example, with oligarch Roman Abramovich. Roman Abramovich's yachts, Solaris and Eclipse, with their hardened hulls and ports, "missile detection system, missile launchers and self-defense systems," and military communications systems for Putin's benefit.
