The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

up until COVID he wasn't a terrible President. Much, much, much better than the woman-groping dementia patient we have now

The Trump supporters need to exaggerate so as to make Trump seem less abhorrent.

Biden's verbal gaffes vs Trumps malicious sociopathic word salad and incessant lying ..... Biden's touchy appreciation vs Trump's history of serial sexual assault/marital infidelity .... Biden's son's alleged crimes vs Trump's actual convictions for charity fraud, tax crimes, sexual assault conviction.
Biden's successful political maneuvering vs Trump's attempts at autocracy.

After they repeat the lies enough times, they seem to brainwash themselves into believing their own lies on a scale like nobody has ever seen before.

What's concerning is the drift by the right to say the quiet things out loud: such as 'it's okay to ignore the Constitution' rather than going through the amendment process. This is especially worrisome when the advocates of essentially suspending the constitution would impose theocratic laws, deny equal rights to women, LGBTQ people, POC, etc.

aside- why does SPELL CHECK highlight sociopathic but not idiopathic? Is there another adjective to describe the traits of a sociopath like Trump?
